RadianTrust’s most recent and relevant project revolving around an online authentication system comes from providing the technology, project management and system architecture services for the Singapore government’s new SingPass system. Planning and Design
RadianTrust provides the technology, project management and system architectural services to CrimsonLogic Pte Ltd for the planning, development, designing and implementation of the new SingPass system within the approved schedule and budget. The SingPass system is a nation-wide authentication system for government e-services and approved private sector entities. This includes the protection and privacy of individuals’ personal information and authentication credentials.

Building
RadianTrust uses state-of-the-art cryptography to ensure the information is protected both within the system and while in transit. This includes the use of technologies such as cryptography and Hardware Security Modules. The use of strong encryption for privacy and strong authentication for integrity needs to be integrated with a robust application and system architecture that can meet the stringent performance and availability requirements that such a critical system needs in order to service the nation.

Integration
The SingPass system integrates with different government agencies to ensure up-to-date information is communicated. The system also utilizes robust, trusted and secure interfaces to integrate with agencies and private parties using the system for its authentication and provisioning for the agencies’ own members, providing end-to-end security from back-end to individual agency’s e-service to the end-user.

RadianTrust uses open standards such as SAML, where applicable in order to provide the components necessary for integration, for various projects that require such capability.

Testing
At RadianTrust, quality is emphasised in every process to ensure our solutions and services offered are of the highest quality. In our involvement with Government projects, RadianTrust performs internal testing in accordance with our quality processes. For SingPass, engagement of a third-party audit as well as government audit and internal review was carried out in order to ensure our deliverables are of the highest quality provide the assurance required from such a critical system that is the heart all for government e-services.

Others

RadianTrust involvement with SingPass project included the business analysis of the project as well as marketing and collaboration with agencies to encourage a wider adoption of the System for the government agencies, private sector as well as the public users.

RadianTrust being the technology provider for SingPass includes the design and implementation of the Authentication System for the nation and its supporting systems. One of which is the Provisioning System to support SingPass’ issuance and reset of its authentication credentials for its users. These users include citizens, permanent residents and foreign labourers working in Singapore which in total more than 3 millions users and the numbers are growing by the month. The other is a provision of an administration support system for the management of reset counters, agencies registrations and billings

RadianTrust is also involved in the proposition and drafting of the process and procedure, security policy and system policy for the Government in accordance to the project requirements.

The SingPass Best-sourcing tender required the undertaking contractor to build, operate and maintain the system in return for revenue generated from a transactional basis over a specified time-frame. The price per transaction was submitted as part of the tender proposal, and finalized upon further discussions between the contractor and the government at the initial phase of the project.
